Makarim Hajj & Umrah organized by Muabbiz Tours and Travels.

Abul Makarim Md Ahmadullah

Hajj and Umrah trainer, author and traveller

Hajj and Umrah trainer, author, traveller — and a decade of documenting the Islamic heritage of Bangladesh.

Abul Makarim Md Ahmadullah

Abul Makarim Md Ahmadullah is a Hajj and Umrah trainer, an author, a lawyer, and a traveller who has spent the last decade documenting the Islamic heritage of Bangladesh and the journeys of pilgrimage.

He has travelled to 40 cities across 10 countries and through 62 of the 64 districts of Bangladesh, and plans to reach at least three new countries each year. What began as personal travel became a record: the mosques, mazars and archaeological sites of this country, photographed and written about before more of them are lost.

Hajj and Umrah

He is known in Bangladesh as a Hajj and Umrah trainer, and has written several books on the two journeys. Each season he accompanies groups to Makkah and Madinah, and the training he gives before departure is the part he considers most important — a pilgrim who understands the rites travels differently from one who is only following the person in front.

Islamic heritage

Makarim considers himself a lover of Islamic history and heritage. He travels to the places that carry it, whether abroad or at home, and has worked through the whole of Bangladesh to promote Islamic and historical heritage tourism — visiting the archaeological and Islamic historical sites district by district and publishing what he finds as video, photography and writing.

On video

His YouTube channel carries several hundred Bangla-language videos: training for Hajj and Umrah, documentaries on Islamic history, and records of heritage sites that had never been filmed before. They are free to watch, and they are the reason most people find this site.
